SALT was hired by Solebury Township to develop a Master Plan for a 17-acre property they recently acquired along the Route 202 corridor. SALT completed Site Inventory & Analysis, conducted numerous interviews with stakeholders and Township staff, and facilitated a community open house. Through these engagement activities, SALT gathered input on conceptual plans for site improvements, new circulation and public amenities. The final Master Plan thoughtfully integrates all the feedback.

Dubbed ‘Solebury Green,’ the vision for this new public park creates opportunities for the community to host large events in a flexible outdoor venue and features age-inclusive passive recreation options. A diversity of low-maintenance native planting greets visitors at the property entrance. New pedestrian trails traverse the site and allow visitors the chance to experience restored native meadows and woodlands, and to explore the stream bank at the lower edge of the property. Pockets for nature-based play and quiet spaces for rest and reflection are integrated throughout. Reflecting the cultural and artistic legacy of the Township, outdoor sculptures and interpretive elements create bespoke wayfinding opportunities and shape the unique character of Solebury Green.
