Shannon Rafferty, RLA | Landscape Architect
Shannon is a Landscape Architect with SALT DESIGN STUDIO with a background in fine arts, communications, and psychology. As a designer, she is interested in shaping psychologically enriching spaces that support public and environmental health. She is particularly interested in the social dimension of public space and is committed to designing landscapes that foster community.
Shannon’s design experience spans a wide breath of project typologies, ranging from campus and institutional masterplans to the design of large-scale public parks, private gardens, and intimate plazas. Prior to joining the team at SALT, Shannon worked at interdisciplinary design practices in Boston and Oslo. Shannon is a Registered Landscape Architect in Maine, holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Art & Art History from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Outside of work Shannon enjoys gardening, drawing, and spoiling her two cats.
