SALT Design Studio was commissioned by Impact Services to create a Vision Plan for Hope Park in collaboration with the local residents. Our team conducted site analysis of the park, researched the history of the area, and discovered that this Kensington neighborhood severely lacks healthy, green space and safe public places for people to socialize, play and gather. Connecting with the community living closest to park, we gained insight into the daily, physical challenges confronting both this site and the immediate neighbors.

Over a 14-week period, SALT engaged neighbors in creating a renewed park vision, learning about the community needs and concerns, and ultimately developing a community supported Vision Plan for the future of Hope Park.
